Print patterns, music and Red Bennies

Wow, summer in Melbourne music wise is going to be hectic.
The next few months is proving to be somewhat overwhelming as so many artists flock to our shores for the summer festivities.
This week I got to see The Bamboo's perform at the Espy, Alex Smoke and Nathan Fake at New Guernica, Pendulum at Brown Alley,
DJ T at Killing time and Reboot at Revolver.
I was in particularly impressed with Alex Smokes live set (he produced some amazingly powerful and refined sounds) as well as Reboot (whose set had a packed out Revolver ecstatic).

Here's some gigs I'm looking forward t0...

Jan-
White Rabbits, YEAH YEAH YEAHS, Hilltop Hoods
Roots Manuva
 Gabriel Ananda and Robert Babicz
The Mars Volta (their album Amputechture has been on repeat in my car lately)
The XX
Kasabian, Muse
Them Crooked Vultures
Telepathe
Devendra Banhart, The Dirty Three, Chairlift and Grizzly Bear.

Also look out for the opening of a new club called 'Red Bennies' opening on Chapel Street in early February. Very excited about this, the boys have got some great acts lined up.. Will definitely be the new hang out.
